Speech
We will be beginning Chapter 9 and learning
how to properly organize speeches.
Reading
We are in Chapters 18-21 of the trial of Tom Robinson. There are so many
major themes that are all starting to come together in these chapters
and we will be continuing to read aloud in class and discuss
as we go. Below is the tentative test schedule for the remaining
chapters of To Kill A Mockingbird (the students should also have this written
down in their notebooks)
Wednesday, February 27 - Chapters 18-21
Thursday, March 7 - Chapters 22-25
Thursday, March 14 - Chapters 26-31
Friday, March 15- Our fieldtrip to the Shakespeare Festival to
see To Kill a Mockingbird!!
(Again, this is a tentative schedule and dates may change slighty if we get ahead of schedule.)
Character Education
In extension to our lesson on charity, we are discussing 'philanthropy'
this week and the students will be creating a
billboard advertising a philanthropy or cause that will
inspire other students at PLAS!
Art I & II
We are wrapping up our "Dream" windows inspired by Marc Chagall
and also working on duct tape projects!
The 7th grade has had some great entries already! Pictures to come.
